Security Officer Part Time - Site Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer for an assigned site in Bellevue, Washington. The position provides a fixed weekly shift that serves as a reliable base schedule, with a required six-month commitment. The officer may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, allowing hours to vary and potentially build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The stated pay rate is $24.60 per hour. The scheduled shift is listed as Monday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM. The officer will provide customer service while carrying out security procedures and site policies, conduct patrols and monitor activity, respond to incidents, and document observations and events. The role may involve emergency response activities when appropriate.
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Submit to a background investigation, as a condition of employment and in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, and report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
