Security Officer - Part Time Site Patrol

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Fairfax, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by maintaining a visible presence, patrolling assigned areas, and supporting a welcoming and orderly environment. The role includes customer service, monitoring visitor activity and access points, responding to security needs, and following site-specific procedures and post orders. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM. Pay is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in accordance with post orders and escalation procedures.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and maintain accurate activity reports and incident documentation.
Collaborate with facility personnel and emergency responders to support orderly operations and a respectful environment.
