About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for site patrol at a retail location in North East, Maryland. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, integrity, teamwork, and responding appropriately to security-related concerns. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour. Additional shifts may be viewed and claimed through Allied Universal’s platform.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store associates while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of retail sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer disputes, suspected theft, and critical situations.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report unusual conditions and potential policy violations to store leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activity according to site-specific reporting procedures.
