About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Routine Patrol in Roanoke, Virginia. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned site through designated weekly anchor shifts, with a six-month commitment. In addition to the fixed shifts, the officer may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform and may work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $18.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Duties include responding to incidents and concerns, conducting foot and/or vehicle patrols at a retail location, helping deter theft and unauthorized activity, and accurately documenting and communicating observations and incidents.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable licensing requirements under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or associates while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter.
• Help deter theft, unauthorized activity, and policy violations through a professional presence and timely observation and reporting.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
