About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Coverage in Winter Park, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, provide customer service, and help create a welcoming environment. The position is scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and pays $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity according to site procedures; report access concerns and follow escalation protocols.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unwanted activity.
