About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Groveport, Ohio. The officer will safeguard the site, maintain a visible presence, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, following site-specific procedures, responding to site needs, and communicating observations with integrity, teamwork, reliability, and care. The position pays $18.79 per hour and is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. Additional shifts may be available through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, following site procedures and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter.
Monitor the entry and exit of employees, visitors, vendors, and freight traffic, and verify authorization according to site-specific procedures.
Accurately and promptly document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions.
Maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
