About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Taylor, Pennsylvania, supporting a logistics and distribution location. The officer will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. The role calls for exceptional customer service, clear communication, and a visible, professional presence to help deter security-related incidents. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., at a rate of $18.73 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local laws. A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control facility access by verifying visitor, employee, contractor, and delivery credentials according to site requirements.
Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and delivery-entry records, and issue and collect access credentials as directed by site policy.
Respond calmly and professionally to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
