About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Louisville, Kentucky. The role involves safeguarding clients by monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The officer uses computer or tablet systems to support badge and access control activities, while providing customer service and communicating clearly. The position also involves following site-specific security procedures and responding to incidents and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner.

The scheduled hours are 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Pay is $17.58 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 for armed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where legally permitted, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.

• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence.
