About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Kansas City, Missouri, serving a logistics and distribution location. The role supports a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers. Officers maintain a visible presence and communicate professionally while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.

The posted schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.75 per hour. Duties include monitoring access and vehicle traffic, maintaining entry records, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and direct authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, report irregularities, and help deter unauthorized access to the facility, trailer yard, and restricted areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter.
