Security Officers in health care setting in Smithfield $22.50 Armed (Operations)
About The Position
Top Guard Security is hiring Armed Security Officers to support access control at a medical facility in Smithfield, Virginia. Officers serve and safeguard the client, staff, visitors, and building while maintaining a professional presence and providing exceptional customer service. The role includes monitoring entry points, verifying credentials and visitor identities, documenting visits, issuing and retrieving visitor badges, and communicating with facility staff about visitors or issues. The position is available full-time or part-time at $22.50 per hour. Full-time schedule: 12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m., Saturday through Wednesday. Part-time schedule: 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. Sunday and 12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m. Thursday and Friday. The role requires a DCJS Armed License and reports to the Account Manager.
Requirements
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Must have a DCJS Armed License.
- Must be willing to obtain baton certification.
- Must have or be able to obtain CPR/AED certification.
- Must pass an extensive background check and pre-employment drug screening; subject to random screenings at the client's request.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods; stoop, bend, pull, push, grasp, walk, run, carry, and climb; and infrequently lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- DCJS Armed card and DCJS Unarmed card are listed as certification requirements.
Responsibilities
- Control access to the medical facility.
- Patrol the facility.
- Check in visitors, verify their identities, document visits, issue visitor badges, and retrieve badges when visitors leave.
- Communicate with facility staff about visitors and issues that arise.
- Maintain a professional presence and attitude to help deter security-related incidents.
- Provide customer service and support site operations through teamwork and integrity.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Account Manager and/or client.
