About The Position

As a part-time Front Desk Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Houston, Texas, you will provide a welcoming, professional presence while supporting access control, visitor management, credential verification, and communication with employees and guests. You will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry activity and responding to security-related concerns. The role offers a schedule that works for you and access to a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts. The posted schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law as a condition of employment.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
Monitor access points, communications systems, and alarm notifications; report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, emergency notifications, and critical situations by following established response protocols.
Maintain written logs and incident reports, provide directions and information, and communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
