About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception for an assigned residential site in Knoxville, Tennessee. The role provides a dependable weekly anchor schedule, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and shift. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and gain experience at other sites. The schedule may be scaled up to 40 hours per week or back as needed.

The position focuses on front-desk security and customer service for residents, visitors, and staff. Duties include following site procedures and access-control protocols, monitoring lobby activity and security systems, responding to concerns or incidents, and keeping accurate activity and incident records.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and security-related front-desk duties at a residential location.
• Greet visitors, verify authorization, maintain visitor records, issue access credentials as directed, and communicate entry requirements professionally.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, alarms, cameras, and communication systems, escalating unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders when required.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and front-desk logs while supporting a welcoming and professional environment.
