About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Newark, New Jersey, you will help safeguard clients while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment. You will greet visitors, manage access and credentials, monitor activity, and provide customer service and communication. The role requires a visible security presence and support for site-specific procedures and security policies. The position is scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $15.92 per hour. Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and management personnel by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor and contractor records.
Monitor lobby activity, access points, cameras, alarms, and other security systems; report unusual activity or access concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations, following emergency response procedures.
Receive calls and deliveries, maintain required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information to property management, tenants, and Allied Universal supervision.
