About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to provide front desk security at a financial institution in Phoenix, Arizona. The role includes welcoming visitors, managing access and badge procedures, monitoring alarms and security-related systems, and supporting a professional, welcoming environment. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly, and addresses security-related concerns with integrity. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $23.34 per hour. Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations; required licenses may be needed before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a financial institution front desk while following site procedures and access-control protocols.
- Greet and screen visitors, verify appointments and identification as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
- Monitor entry activity and respond to access-control alarms or unusual activity, notifying appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations while following established emergency response procedures.
- Answer phones, direct inquiries to appropriate departments, support a professional and welcoming lobby, and help deter unauthorized access.
