Security Officer - Part Time Credentialing
About The Position
As a part-time Security Officer - Credentialing in Walton, Kentucky, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help deter security-related incidents. The role includes providing customer service and clear communication to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while supporting a welcoming environment. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Pay is $15.95 per hour, with weekly pay. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable licensing requirements may apply.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to drivers, employees, visitors, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access by verifying credentials, recording visitor and vendor information, and communicating entry requirements.
- Observe inbound and outbound vehicle, trailer, and personnel activity at designated access points and report irregularities according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts or emergency responders when required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
