About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location in Detroit, Michigan, you will help safeguard the site through routine patrols, a visible security presence, and responses to security-related concerns. You will provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public, communicate professionally, and help maintain a welcoming environment. The role follows a weekday daytime schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Pay is $18.39 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations.

Requirements

Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Be subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
Monitor access points and help verify authorized entry; document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency services according to established protocols.
Prepare incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
