About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for morning patrol at a chemical and petrochemical location in Odessa, Texas. The role involves safeguarding the site through regular patrols, a visible security presence, customer service, and communication. Officers respond to incidents and alarms, report unusual conditions and hazards, and follow site-specific policies and emergency procedures. The posted pay rate is $17.34 per hour. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and report unusual conditions, access-control concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate site contacts.
Complete accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and shift information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
Provide customer service and maintain a visible security presence.
