About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a retail location in Louisville, Kentucky. The role serves and safeguards clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by patrolling assigned retail and mall areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and providing professional customer service. The officer communicates with visitors and team members and uses technology to document security-related activity. The position follows site-specific policies and procedures and responds to incidents and emergencies as appropriate.

The schedule is daytime: Monday and Tuesday, 6:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 6:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 6:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Pay is $18.57 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall areas, including sales floors, common areas, entrances, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following established site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and directions while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
• Use technology to document security-related activity.
