About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a retail location in Jacksonville, Florida, you will provide a welcoming and visible presence while supporting access control, visitor management, and badge procedures. You will communicate professionally with associates, guests, and vendors, respond to security-related concerns, and help maintain an orderly environment. The position pays $16.15 per hour and is scheduled Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Supervisory experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and employees at a retail front desk by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
Monitor access to the location, verify visitor credentials as directed, issue visitor passes and/or badges, and maintain accurate sign-in records.
Receive and direct visitors, answer incoming calls, provide general information, and communicate concerns to appropriate site personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally according to established emergency response procedures.
Maintain awareness of front desk activity and report suspicious activity, policy violations, or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
