About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting access-control and alarm-related functions. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and following site-specific procedures. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Pay is $21.40 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access-control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location and verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Accurately document patrol findings, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
