Security Officer - Armed

About The Position

First Coast Security is hiring an Armed Security Officer to help maintain a secure environment at the assigned site. The officer will monitor entrances and access points, conduct interior and exterior patrols, assist visitors, and respond to safety concerns, alarms, incidents, and emergencies. The role requires staying alert, following post orders and site procedures, maintaining weapon readiness and firearm safety, and documenting activity during the shift. The officer must maintain a clean, professional appearance and provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

Requirements

Be able to obtain an armed security license as required by the state, with two years of armed security experience, or have prior military, law enforcement, or corrections experience.
Be able to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
Pass drug screening, driving record, and background checks.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
Be over 21 years old.
Have proficient English communication, reading, and writing skills.
Meet physical demands, including occasional lifting up to 40 pounds and bending, climbing, running, walking, and standing for long periods as needed.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
