About The Position

As an Armed Security Officer at a healthcare location in Tempe, Arizona, you will help safeguard clients, patients, donors, visitors, and staff. You will conduct armed patrols, monitor access, respond to security and emergency concerns, and provide professional customer service. The position is full-time and pays $23.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Requirements

Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, donors, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor and contractor screening in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Maintain professional communication with site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
