About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol driver supporting a retail and mall location in Falls Church, Virginia, you will help safeguard clients and provide a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. The role includes routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, delivering customer service, communicating clearly, and responding to security-related concerns. The position offers access to a shift-claiming platform to explore additional shifts and build a schedule that works for you.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations.
Observe and report unusual activity, property concerns, hazards, and policy violations; help deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
Accurately document incidents, patrol activity, and daily observations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
