About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for driver patrol at a retail shopping center in San Jose, California. The officer will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible professional presence, help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM–8:30 AM. The pay rate is $26.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, identifying and reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
Monitor access points and activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized activity.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
