As a Security Officer Afternoon Entry Control in West Jordan, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and supporting authorized entry and exit at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry points, screen guests, vehicles, and deliveries, and document visitor activity, badges, and access requests in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help identify unusual activity and support security-related protocols.
  • Support security-related operations by preparing logs, incident reports, and shift activity records, and reporting maintenance concerns, policy issues, and/or suspicious behavior to site leadership.
