As a Security Officer Entry Control in West Finley, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. At a utilities location, Allied Universal is seeking a professional who will help manage access control, monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor processing while maintaining a visible presence. This role includes routine patrols, clear communication, and strong customer service to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, screening access requests, and supporting security-related protocols at a utilities location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns according to post instructions.
  • Support emergency response activities, document daily activities and incident details, and follow Allied Universal standards while working in environments and conditions that may vary by location.
