About The Position

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support a professional, welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving post. In this role, you will contribute to security-related operations with strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and permissions, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location through attentive access control practices.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or facility issues that may require follow-up.
  • Support lobby and reception area operations as needed by assisting with visitor processing, directing foot traffic, and communicating clearly with staff regarding access requests and/or security-related matters.
