In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, control rooms, and other sensitive locations.
  • Screen visitors, vendors, deliveries, and/or vehicles in accordance with post orders, including maintaining accurate logs, issuing passes, and communicating access-related information to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to supervisors and/or designated personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
