Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence, strong communication, and attention to detail while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, screening visitors, drivers, and/or vendors, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges or temporary passes, and help to deter unauthorized entry to warehouse, distribution, and/or shipping and receiving areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and loading dock locations to identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Support truck gate and delivery traffic operations by observing inbound and outbound vehicle activity, maintaining accurate logs, and following post orders related to trailers, freight movement, and restricted areas.
