About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a driving patrol position at a technology data center in Columbus, Ohio. The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service and clear communication to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors. The role includes following site-specific security procedures and responding to emergencies as appropriate.

The position is scheduled Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $21.79 per hour. Driving duties require a valid driver’s license. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may also be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, required for this driving position and subject to Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Accurately and promptly document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and access-related events in required reports and logs.
