About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Chicago, Illinois, you will safeguard clients and provide professional customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel. You will conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, respond to security concerns, and use technology to document activity. The position pays $19.75 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required for employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and visitor activity; provide directions and building information; report suspicious conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain daily activity logs covering incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.
