About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Bedford Park, Illinois. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas and access points, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role involves responding to incidents and access concerns, documenting observations and activities, and following site-specific procedures and established reporting and escalation processes. The schedule is Sunday and Monday through Wednesday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and observe the movement of personnel, vehicles, and packages in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and unusual activity in required reports.
Communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
