Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Observation

About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Atlanta, Georgia, you will help safeguard clients and create a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, communicate professionally, report security-related concerns, and provide customer service. The role follows a schedule of 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $16.39 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, delivery-area concerns, and critical situations, escalating information through established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and driver credentials as required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and irregularities.
Maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian traffic around shipping and receiving operations and report hazards or unusual conditions to site management.
