About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for a healthcare setting in Lillington, North Carolina. The officer will safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security concerns, and providing professional customer service. The role is scheduled for Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Thursday through Saturday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Pepper Spray Certification.
Handcuffing Certification.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
CPR Certification.
Armed Guard Card/License.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding grounds to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, assist with de-escalation, and coordinate with site personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
Monitor access points and visitor activity and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures according to site requirements.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
