About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring an Armed Security Officer for a site in southwest Houston. The role involves monitoring security systems and premises, identifying and responding to potential threats, documenting incidents, controlling access, and helping protect people and property. It also includes visitor-facing customer service, such as welcoming visitors, verifying identities, providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with day-to-day client concerns.

The position is part-time, Monday through Friday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and pays $17.00 per hour. Candidates must have an active commissioned security license in Texas and provide their own commissioned equipment. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process, including a background check and drug screening after an offer of employment.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Hold a valid commissioned security license in Texas.
• Provide personal commissioned equipment, including a firearm, duty belt, holster, and non-lethal weapons.
• Be able to climb stairs and walk, stand, or sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.

• Answer questions in person or by phone.
• Attend to clients’ day-to-day problems.
