Security Officer - Part Time Patrol Access Point Support

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Patrol Officer to support a fast-paced logistics and distribution location in Springfield, Virginia. The officer monitors assigned areas, conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, supports access control, and provides customer service. The role uses computer or tablet tools and works with a team focused on reliability and integrity. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Pay is $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor site access by verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles according to site-specific procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
