About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a manufacturing and industrial location in East Syracuse, New York. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide customer service and clear communication in a welcoming, professional environment. The position pays $18.00 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
CPR and/or First Aid certification.
Access control and/or badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency-response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions.
Monitor site access by verifying visitor and contractor authorization, maintaining visitor records, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security concerns according to company and site reporting requirements.
