Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Assistance
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer at an airport location in Columbus, Ohio. The officer will safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for travelers, employees, visitors, and tenants through customer service, routine patrols, access control, and emergency response. The role includes working across airport facilities and public areas, maintaining a visible security presence, identifying and reporting concerns, and coordinating with airport operations and public personnel as directed. Pay is $20.08 per hour. The stated schedule is 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and tenants while following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, public areas, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations, coordinating with airport operations and public personnel as directed.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
