Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Assistance Patrol
About The Position
As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, you will help safeguard the client’s employees and visitors while providing a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor access and visitor activity, respond to incidents and alarms, and document observations using computer or tablet tools. The role involves following site-specific policies and established procedures, providing customer service, and reporting security-related concerns to appropriate personnel. The scheduled shifts are Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following established site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
