About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, support badge procedures, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. The role calls for outstanding customer service, clear communication, integrity, and teamwork while helping maintain a secure environment. The position pays $18.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday and Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Allied Universal offers access to a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access by checking credentials, documenting visitor and driver activity, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site requirements.
