About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to support a dynamic retail location in Allen, Texas. The officer will help safeguard clients, shoppers, visitors, and employees by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting site policies, and providing customer service. The role uses a computer or tablet to document security-related activity and communicate observations.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.54 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail and mall areas, including sales areas, common areas, entrances, exits, loading areas, and perimeter spaces.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity to help deter unauthorized access and support site policies.
• Document incidents, hazards, suspicious activity, and other security-related observations according to site procedures.
• Use computer or tablet systems to document security-related activities and communicate observations.
