About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Screening in Saint Augustine, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including aerospace and defense. In this access-control role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and help protect sensitive operations. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and report security-related concerns. The role is full-time and pays $20.70 per hour. The stated schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.
A Security Professional Guard Card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and maintain access logs according to site-specific requirements.
Control access to restricted areas and coordinate visitor check-in procedures.
Report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access.
