About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Reno, Nevada, you will help safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, vendors, and the facility. You will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, monitor access and visitor activity, and provide professional customer service. You will also respond to incidents and alarms, document activity, and follow site-specific policies and emergency procedures. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential security issues.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site procedures, and direct guests to appropriate locations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
