About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Care Environment Patrol in Baltimore, Maryland, you will serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare setting. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role includes providing customer service and communication while responding to security-related needs. This is a part-time position with a schedule that includes Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Hospital vaccination requirements must be met. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law, and a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
CPR certification.
CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, patient care areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
