About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to support an Amazon warehouse in Concord, North Carolina. The officer will provide security and customer service at a technology location by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas, and supporting security-related reporting and screening activities with a computer or tablet. The role involves working with employees, visitors, contractors, delivery personnel, site contacts, and Allied Universal leadership. The position pays $18.36 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM; Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM; and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-ray screening experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
Monitor access control points and verify visitor and contractor credentials according to site procedures.
Report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, document observations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with post orders and client policies.
