About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting in New Castle, Delaware, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and clients. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. The role involves customer service, clear communication, and professional responses to concerns and emergencies. The position pays $19.50 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Applicants may be subject to background investigation and drug screening as conditions of employment. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a behavioral healthcare setting.
Respond calmly and compassionately to incidents, behavioral health emergencies, and critical situations, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and help direct individuals within the facility.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activity; complete required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
