About The Position

As a Security Officer for Shopping Plaza in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout building common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and communicate with property management and/or emergency personnel regarding security-related matters.
• Support daily property operations by observing site conditions, reporting maintenance or life-related hazards, and assisting with direction and information for tenants and guests as needed.
