The role involves a fixed-shift commitment ("Anchor Shifts") for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six-month commitment. Additionally, employees may pick up extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing for part-time hours one week and full-time the next. This position is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with crowd and line management during busy periods, and support a professional atmosphere across the retail location.
• Communicate with store personnel, property management, and/or local responders as appropriate regarding security-related matters, suspicious activity, and incidents requiring follow-up.
