As a Security Officer for Shopping Center in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, teamwork, reliability, and integrity while bringing an agile, innovative approach to each shift.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support loss prevention efforts, observe policy compliance, and report suspicious behavior or unauthorized activity.
• Assist with de-escalation, crowd management, and customer inquiries during business hours, special events, and/or peak shopping periods while maintaining a professional presence.
