About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location in Anchorage, Alaska. The role supports a secure environment by conducting screening procedures, monitoring access points, identifying and reporting unusual activity, and providing courteous service to employees and visitors. The position pays $20.00 per hour and follows a varied schedule: Monday 1:00 PM–6:00 PM; Tuesday and Wednesday 6:00 PM–1:00 AM; and Saturday and Sunday 6:00 PM–1:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
Screen personnel, visitors, drivers, packages, and deliveries according to site procedures; verify access credentials and direct people to appropriate areas.
Monitor entry and exit points, visitor activity, and screening equipment, and report unauthorized access attempts, prohibited items, and unusual activity to site leadership.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established emergency response procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter, and document observations and incidents.
